LOS ANGELES · SIMULATED TERMINAL

Keep the gate moving.

Reconcile conflicting evidence. Protect the cargo. Keep people in control.

● DEMO DATA / OFFLINE

Same decision engine; simulated operations. Local policies require operator validation.

Container decision queue

Sorted by review urgency, not permission to exit

CONTAINERRECOMMENDATIONPRIORITYWAIT
REPRODUCIBLE TOY MODEL

What changes when we separate the queues?

60-minute horizon
Model assumptions & limitations

100 containers available at time zero; 3 minutes per exit per lane. Strict FIFO stops at the first blocked container. Triage separates blocked containers for holding and schedules eligible containers by urgency. Holding space, staff, movement time and powered bays are assumed available and are not capacity modeled. Counts are potential exits after human approval, not executed releases. This deliberately simple baseline can exaggerate gains compared with real terminal practices. No validated delay, cost or emissions savings are claimed.

Prototype policy: empty gross weight tolerance = tare + 1,000 kg; other weight tolerance = max(1,000 kg, 15% of declared gross); evidence freshness = 30 minutes. These are demo assumptions, not port standards.

InnovateLA · Final-submission adaptations

01 / A federal funding pathway

Proposed: NSF America's Seed Fund, SBIR Phase I (NSF 26-510). Up to $305,000 for 6–18 months of technical R&D, subject to selection and funding. Next: establish a novel research contribution, verify company eligibility, submit a Project Pitch, and obtain an invitation before a full proposal. Current transparent rules are a prototype, not proof of research novelty. No funding secured.

02 / A global application

Switch between Los Angeles and Singapore above. Evidence can be displayed and edited in kg/°C or lb/°F; the engine normalizes to kg/°C. The decision log uses the selected region's time zone; exports preserve UTC and regional context. Customs restrictions stay binding in both demonstrations. These are portability demonstrations, not validated local deployments. Local agencies, workflows, thresholds and cargo policies need validation before use.

03 / Poster it

A printable project poster accompanies this submission, showing the conflicting evidence, human decision flow, global adaptation and proposed funding path.

Responsible use: Misuse could include unjustified cargo holds or treating a recommendation as customs authority. The prototype marks simulated data, requires human rationale, blocks restricted exit approvals, and has no connection to real gates. A production system would additionally need authenticated sources, access control, durable audit logs and local validation.
